Nifty below 10,800 in pre-opening, Sensex down over 100 points

Trends on SGX Nifty indicate a negative opening for the broader index in India, a fall of 117 points or 1.08 percent.

Rupee opens: The Indian rupee opened at fresh record low of 73.60 per dollar versus on THursday previous close 73.34 per dollar.

Yesterday the rupee ended at record closing lower 73.34, down by 43 paise versus Monday’s closing 72.91 per dollar.
  
Market at pre-open: The benchmark indices are trading lower in the pre-opening trade. 

At 09:02 hrs IST, the Sensex is down 11.49 points at 35964.14, while Nifty is down 84.50 points at 10773.80.

Asian markets trade lower: Asia markets were mostly trading lower on Thursday morning amid  muted performance on Wall Street overnight.

The Nikkei 225 was down 50 points at 24,054, Hang Seng slipped 440 points at 26,649 and the Kospi slid by 27 point at 2,281.
Brent oil prices trade lower: Oil prices on Thursday fell from four-year highs reached the previous session, pressured by rising US inventories and after sources said Russia and Saudi Arabia struck a private deal in September to raise crude output.

Brent crude oil futures were trading at USD 85.85 per barrel, down 44 cents, or 0.5 percent, from their last close. Brent on Wednesday hit a four-year high of USD 86.74 a barrel, reported Reuters

SGX Nifty: Trends on SGX Nifty indicate a negative opening for the broader index in India, a fall of 117 points or 1.08 percent. Nifty futures were trading around 11,766-level on the Singaporean Exchange.
